Dr. Selinda Shepherd PT, DPT specializes exclusively in pelvic health, and has dedicated her career to helping those who have pelvic health issues find the relief they never thought they could. About The Owner

Dr. Selinda Shepherd PT, DPT 

Dr. Shepherd is a highly talented Physical Therapist who has worked in the Physical Therapy field for the past 23 years. Her experience and focus is on quality personalized care related to manual therapy, orthopedic injuries and conditions with her current focus in Women’s Pelvic Health. Dr. Shepherd received her Associate of Applied Science in Physical Therapy Assisting from the University of Cincinnati in 1999 and continued to receive her Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Studies from Neumann College in 2005. In 2008, Dr. Shepherd earned her Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Neumann College.

Conditions Treated

Physical therapy for pelvic health is specialized physical therapy treatments that help to optimize proper function of the pelvic floor muscles. The pelvic floor muscles provide support to the pelvic organs, and help to control bladder and bowel function and assist in sexual function. Dr. Shepherd will provide you with a thorough initial examination including a detailed past and current medical history, perform a pelvic external and internal exam as indicated and with the consent of the patient. Dr. Shepherd will help to improve your pelvic floor dysfunction with education of proper bladder and bowel management, educate you in how to either strengthen or relax the pelvic floor muscles, educate you in behavior modifications as needed, provide manual therapy interventions and modalities as needed. Dr. Shepherd will also provide education and treatment for pre/post pregnancy related concerns. You will be treated with dignity and respect and Dr. Shepherd will only perform parts of the exam you are comfortable with.

We strive to focus on your needs and not the needs or limitations of insurance companies therefore we do not accept any insurance plans and are a locally woman owned and small cash based business.

Follow Up Appointments

(30 min):  $150, (60 min): $225
